Walk to Work Week is the 14th – 18th May this year and the Fresh Ways to Work initiative would like to promote this to workplaces as part of their project and the Lowestoft Local Links project.
They have attached a brief outline of the offer from Living Streets (the national campaign charity), this can be tailored to our needs as we require. Use of the website is free for workplaces and individuals to use and this can be supported through additional promotional items and prizes. Challenges can be added to target key locations or groups of organisations.
They think this would work really well for them as a partnership, given the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce’s focus on Health in the Workplace for 2012, direct links with businesses in the BID and Healthy Ambitions Suffolk’s similar focus on workplace health.
It would be very helpful if you would let them know by responding to this email if you would like to be involved in developing this further. They can then work up a suitable promotion for workplaces to take part in.
