Ipswich Central 'A Celebration Of An Ipswich Christmas' In Conjunction With Town 102, 27/11/2011

From 11am to 4.30pm

Ipswich's very own radio station Town 102 says it's thrilled to be helping both the shopper and business celebration to Christmas 2011.

The Ipswich based radio station has just marked it's fifth year on air and in a double celebration is reporting its highest ever listening figures.

Suffolk born Nick Pandolfi is the station's breakfast presenter, Nick has been heard on the radio in Suffolk for a number of years and just so happens to be a huge fan of all things Christmas, it therefore seemed natural that he help craft "The celebration of an Ipswich Christmas" that will be taking place on the Cornhill on Sunday 27th November around the Evening Star Christmas Tree.

Nick tells us " we intend to have the Cornhill rocking to some feel good xmas tunes and live entertainment", The ever popular Martlesham Brass band playing the Holly and the Ivy, Cast members from the Regent Theatre's The Wizard of Oz will be transported from the yellow brick road to the steps of the Town Hall.

The Ipswich band The B.Goodes fresh from their hit gigs at Latitude and the Ipswich Music day will perform Christmas favourites live.

Nick Pandolfi goes on to say " Shoppers as they rush past the cornhill with their shopping will hear plenty of festive cheer , fun and the invitation is open for people to join us after their shopping trip to have a large sing a long with the 12 days of xmas "

"Panto dames looking for a Christmas present will pop by for a chat, Live music and the smell of roasting chestnuts, this Celebration of Christmas has Ipswich at the very top of the tree"
